World of Tanks on Console joins forces with WWE?

July 24, 2020

World of Tanks has taken an unexpected turn with its latest update on PlayStation and Xbox with the announcement of Update 5.0 – Season 1 SummerSlam. Yes, from now all the way until Monday, September 21, SummerSlam is going to actually combine the personalities and designs of the wrestlers of the WWE with their natural counterpart – tanks.

The season pass brings five WWE-inspired tanks, with looks taken from The Undertaker, Becky Lynch, Andrew the Giant, Sgt. Slaughter and Stone Cold Steve Austin himself, which will be free for all players. There’s also a redesigned WWE Garage, which features appropriately epic introductions for each vehicle, unique visuals for each Premium Collector tank and two sets of crew chests that include the aforementioned Superstars, along with Roman Reigns, Randy Savage, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels in August.

Outside of the WWE-madness, Update 5.0 will also introduce crossplay between PS4 and Xbox One users, as well as the return of the popular Commander mode.
