World of Tanks 1.0 Update Launches

March 28, 2018

The biggest update in the history of World of Tanks launched yesterday on Tuesday 27 March, with World of Tanks Update 1.0. The update includes a new graphics engine exclusive for PC players, the high-end ‘Core’ engine, as well as 29 completely reworked battlefields, a new soundtrack and a new map, Glacier.

To celebrate the launch of Update 1.0, a ‘Grand Extravaganza’ is being held on World of Tanks, from 29 March until 13 April, where players will be able to earn multiple in-game bonuses, as well as prizes from Intel.

Update 1.0 was released in partnership with Intel, as Milos Jerabek, Development Director for World of Tanks on PC explains, “Update 1.0 improves the baseline technology for the game, introducing the in-house developed Wargaming Core graphics engine. Thanks to it, we’re now capable of elevating the entire game and can ensure World of Tanks is a fun and immersive experience for years to come.”

The new dynamic soundtrack also gives each in-game location its own theme, and a World of Tanks soundtrack is on the way, published by Sony Music Entertainment.
