Shortly after Nintendo of America announced that they’ll be holding a special Wii U press event in New York this Thursday, a report came from Nintendo’s Spanish branch which stated that a new Nintendo Direct video conference will be released for European viewers. Hosted by Nintendo’s European president, Satoru Shibata, the video will be broadcast at the exact same time that the American event is being held. Nintendo’s UK website has since been updated, and sure enough, they have indeed scheduled a presentation for that time. It looks as though Nintendo have something big to announce to the world regarding the Wii U, and a reveal of the console’s release date and price seems highly likely, especially considering that the Spanish branch also made sure to confirm that the Wii U will definitely be released this year. As such, Nintendo are certainly running out of time to make the announcement. You can view the Australian times for the presentation below:
Perth: Thursday 10pm
Adelaide: Thursday 11:30pm
Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane: Midnight Thursday-Friday
UPDATE: We’ve received word via a late night press release from Nintendo Australia that various Australia and New Zealand specific Wii U launch details will be announced shortly after the European Nintendo Direct ends.
