If you grew up in the last couple of decades, it’s nearly guaranteed that you’ve heard of the yellow creature that lives in a pineapple under the sea, Spongebob Squarepants. Whether you love or hate Spongebob, there’s no denying that the cartoon had a massive impact on popular culture and the generation that watched it. From the myriad games, to the Live-Action/CGI film and the absolute avalanche of merchandise that came with. One of the most well-known of those videogame adaptions was Battle for Bikini Bottom, and the fervent love that is felt for that game is reaching a fever point once more as its remastered edition Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated comes closer to releasing.

While Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated will bring the original game up to date and make it playable on modern platforms, THQ Nordic isn’t content with just doing that. On top of remaking the game’s original graphics, including much higher rendering resolutions, and restoring content that was cut from the original release, they’re also making a brand new addition to the game: Horde Mode. That’s right, you’ll be able to team up with a friend online or offline smashing through wave after wave of enemies. Check out the trailer below that shows it off.
