E3 2018: Check out the open world E3 Marvel’s Spider-Man Demo

June 12, 2018

Immediately following the E3 2018 PlayStation press conference, we got to witness one of the best gameplay displays of the show: the open-world E3 Marvel’s Spider-Man Demo. The somewhat cinematic PlayStation Press Conference Spider-Man gameplay trailer had Spidey jumping around from building to building but it was still following a story mission including battles with various villains. After the official PlayStation press conference was finished though, the round-table commentary team got to take a closer look at Spidey in the open-world of Manhattan, New York and boy does it look gorgeous.

In the eight minute Marvel’s Spider-Man gameplay demo below, we see cars and pedestrians on the street, and we see exactly how the open-world will be fully utilised, which is really where Insomniac Games thrives. The game looks beautiful in Full HD and will look even better if you have a PlayStation 4 Pro and a 4K TV.

This is the gameplay demo that people lucky enough to be attending E3 2018 can play ahead of the game’s release in September this year.

While there’s no official upload, luckily YouTuber CenterStrain01 was busy recording it himself and made it available for the rest of us to watch over and over again. Check out the PlayStation press conference post-show E3 Marvel’s Spider-Man demo video below:

Marvel’s Spider-Man will launch on September 7, 2018 exclusively on PlayStation 4. Play it best on the 4K PlayStation 4 Pro console. For more on Marvel’s Spider-Man, head to the official website here.
