E3 2018: Sneaky E3-goer snaps full Spider-Man Map And It’s HUGE

June 15, 2018

New York is a big place, so when Insomniac Games took on their new project we were sceptical as to how large they could make the Spider-Man map of Manhattan. Early footage showed a large city in the background, and the E3 2018 cinematic trailer was story based and didn’t actually show any of the open world.

Now, fresh off the floor of E3 2018, someone has sneakily snapped the full map (with the demo boundary clearly showing Eastern Manhattan). The sprawling E3 2018 Spider-Man demo looks to make up about one fifth of the actual full Spider-Man map, and unfortunately Insomniac Games has said the demo will most likely not be released to the public.

Fans have been itching to see more on Marvel’s Spider-Man after its original announcement at E3 2017 last year. The release date was later revealed in April this year, however we are still yet to see any actual in-game footage… until now.

As we can see, the Spider-Man map is HUGE, and covers pretty much as far north as we were hoping for, past central park but not all the way up to Fort George and Inwood.

We’ve also sourced a handy info-graphic courtesy of Redditor u/wakigo45 showing every NYC landmark identified from the various trailers and gameplay so far. With the full map however, it will now be even easier to make a full list of identified buildings, streets, and more! Check out the massive info-graphic below:

Marvel’s Spider-Man will launch on September 7, 2018 exclusively on PlayStation 4. Play it best on the 4K PlayStation 4 Pro console. For more on Marvel’s Spider-Man, head to the official website here.
