  • NEWS: Sony are claiming that the PlayStation 4 isn’t intended to replace the PlayStation 3, but is instead an “addition to the PS family”. Their Middle East general manager also talked about the console’s release, stating that the “PS4 will be released in at least one region across the world during the Western holiday season this year”. So, there you have it, people will have the PlayStation 4 in their hands this year. We just don’t know which ones.
  • NEWS: A forumer on Assembler Games has made a very interesting post about Sega’s mysterious unreleased console, the Sega Pluto. He’s revealed the fact that he has one, and has posted a bunch of pictures of the previously unseen machine. The Sega Pluto was apparently intended to be a remodeled, reduced price version of the Sega Saturn, but its development was cancelled for unknown reasons. Its existence has been rumoured for years, but two prototype machines have now surfaced. One is owned by the Assembler Games forumer, while the other recently surfaced on Destructoid (along with a video of the console in action).
  • VIDEO: Atlus have released a new trailer for Dragon’s Crown, showing off their next playable character, the incredibly muscular Dwarf. Watch him pummel enemies into submission below.

  • NEWS: Microsoft and Epic Games have announced a second expansion for Gears of War: Judgment‘s multiplayer mode. The new Call to Arms Map Pack is set against the backdrop of the Locust invasion of Halvo Bay, with three new maps that offer a mix of close quarters and vertical combat. The Map Pack provides 10 new Achievements, worth a total of 250 Gamerscore.
  • NEWS: Bethesda have revealed the first project that is in development by Tango Gameworks, the game studio started by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami. The game, which has gone by the codename of Project Zwei, is called The Evil Within. It’s a survival horror game which will be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and next-generation consoles on the 22nd of April next year. IGN have gotten their hands on some early screenshots, which you can view here. Creepy.
  • VIDEO: Bethesda have also released a rather well made live action trailer for The Evil Within, which shows off some of the horrific creatures that will be featured in the game.
