It’s been known for a while now that the fantastic sci-fi shooter Control would be coming to next gen consoles. What hasn’t been known, is just how the game would be taking advantage of the power of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S to enhance people’s experience. Now, we’ve gotten confirmation via a 505 Games article that was posted in their support section.

The way Control takes advantage of next gen systems is a little different between the two ecosystems. Across both the PS5 and Xbox Series X the game will feature both a graphics and performance mode. Graphics mode runs at 1220p and 30fps, with raytracing enabled, while performance mode runs at 1440p and 60fps without raytracing. On Xbox Series S only performance mode will be available, running at 900p and 60fps.

The enhancements continue for PS5 owners, with the game also taking advantage of some of the extra features on the system. You’ll find DualSense, Activities and Help features are all support by the game. With how great Activities were in games like Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, it will be interesting to see how well support they are here.

Control Ultimate Edition releases on next gen systems on February 2, while it’s currently available on previous generation systems right now, and will be a PlayStation Plus game for the month of February.
