Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Officially Revealed

August 23, 2020

Similarly to the just revealed Gotham Knights, we knew that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League would be revealed at DC Fandome today. It’s been five years now since Rocksteady last graced the console stage with Batman: Arkham Knight and we’ve been eagerly awaiting their next project. Now, we’ve gotten our first official look at the game, along with a bunch of details on what the game actually is.

First of all, Rocksteady confirmed that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is an official direct continuation of the Arkhamverse, meaning it’s set in the same world and universe as their past game. We also got confirmation that the game is pretty close to what has been rumoured for a while now: a co-op game pitting Suicide Squad members against the Justice League. What we didn’t know, however, was how the game would play. Rocksteady have confirmed that the game is a third-person shooter, moving away from the melee combat of past Arkham titles.

As far as characters go, we’ve got confirmation that the game’s characters are Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark. Each character has a range of weapons and skills you can upgrade, while Rocksteady mentioned that there is a richer moveset than in in the Arkham games. You and up to three friends will be able to select from these characters, while you can also play the game completely solo, with bots taking over the characters you don’t select. You can also freely swap between characters at any time while playing solo. The game is also set in an open world version of Metropolis, which many of you may know as the city Superman is based in.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will arrive in 2022 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X. While you wait, check out the official reveal trailer below.
