Rocksteady Teases Suicide Squad Game

August 9, 2020

It feels like it’s been an age since Rocksteady last released a videogame, which probably makes sense since the last game they released was 2015’s Batman Arkham Knight. Since then, there’s been speculation and rumours aplenty as we wait to see what they would next be turning their attention to. Would it be a new Batman game, their long-rumoured Superman concept or something else entirely? Now, we’ve got some form of confirmation, with Rocksteady releasing an image teasing Suicide Squad.

Beyond that single teaser image, with a target on Superman’s face and the text ‘Suicide Squad’ on it, we don’t know anything else about the project. There have, however, been a number of rumours for a lengthy period of time now. The rumours point towards Rocksteady developing Suicide Squad as a Games as a Service title which will receive support over a long period of time. The rumours have also pointed towards the game being a next-generation title, as opposed to a cross-generational release.

Either way, we can expect to hear more from Rocksteady regarding Suicide Squad soon, with the original tweet indicating that more information will be released DC Fandome event occurring on August 23, so there’s not too long to go. Stay tuned to Rocket Chainsaw for more information as it becomes available.
