A Big Red Dead Online Beta Update Just Went Live

In case you forgot, Red Dead Online is still in beta, and today Rockstar has released the first big Red Dead Online beta update which includes changes to most parts of the online world.

The update makes it easier for players to earn XP and Gold Nuggets when completing all new daily challenges, and new game modes such as fishing, horseback target shooting will be rolled out of the coming weeks, while three new Showdown Modes ‘Up in Smoke, Spoils of War, and Plunder’ are available immediately with the roll-out of the update.

Two new weapons and clothing items and emotes have also been added, as well as updated player radar and visibility, easier parley and feuds, and a completely overhauled law and bounty system making it harder to hide from your crimes in the wild west.

The Red Dead Online Beta gets its first big batch of updates including new gameplay, weapons and clothing, additional balancing and a slew of community-requested improvements thanks to responses to our player feedback page at https://www.reddeadonline.com/feedback.

Rocket Chainsaw reviewed Red Dead Redemption 2 at launch, giving it 4 stars and saying it, “tells a surprisingly philosophical and poignant story, anchored by an incredibly well written and character cast of protagonists and supporting characters, even if it feels overly long and written.

Red Dead Online is available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms. Stay tuned to Rocket Chainsaw for all your latest Red Dead news, as we hopefully look towards a possible announcement of the award winning western coming to Windows PC.
