The World Ends With You exemplifies the type of games that released on the Nintendo DS. A weird and wonderful new IP that took advantage of the dual screen experience, it was unlike anything else before it and remains one of our favourite games on the system. After more than a decade of waiting, and ample teases that ultimately bore no fruit, we’re finally getting a sequel. Now, just over a month before the full game releases, you can go hands on with NEO: The World Ends With You with the release of the game’s demo.
The NEO: The World Ends With You demo covers the first two days of the Reapers’ game, so there should be plenty of content there to experience, with progress carrying over to the main game when it releases. You’ll take control of the game’s protagonist Rindo, his friend Fret and other characters, take on missions, collect pins and try out their Psych powers, and get some good time into the game’s combat.
The NEO: The World Ends With You demo is available now on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and the full game releases on those platforms on July 27th, with a PC version coming later in winter. For more information, check the official website.
