The on-again off-again rumoured bundle pack of the Killzone series has finally come to fruition, Sony today announcing Killzone Trilogy.

It is exactly as it sounds. Killzone Trilogy is a three-in-one game pack featuring:

• Killzone, the original PlayStation 2 title, enhanced with 720p and trophy support.
• Killzone 2 for PlayStation 3.
• Killzone 3 for PlayStation.

The pack will further enhance both Killzone 2 and Killzone 3, including the three multiplayer map packs for each title:

• Steel & Titanum (Killzone 2)
• Flash & Thunder (Killzone 2)
• Napalm & Cordite (Killzone 2)
• Steel Rain (Killzone 3)
• Retro Pack (Killzone 3)
• From the Ashes (Killzone 3)

Those who already own Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 yet are still eager to see Killzone in HD will be pleased to know the title will be sold stand-alone on the PlayStation Network.

The Killzone Trilogy is scheduled to launch on 23rd October 2012 in the US. Hopefully a local release isn’t too far behind.
