DOOM Eternal – The Ancient Gods, Part One DLC Teased

August 8, 2020

When we reviewed DOOM Eternal earlier this year we called it the ‘ultimate DOOM experience‘ and so we’ve been eagerly awaiting news on how else we can continue to play the game. Yesterday saw the confirmation that the game will be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, all for the sweet price of nothing for owners of the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One versions of the game. Today, as one of the first reveals of QuakeCon at home, Bethesda have released a teaser trailer for DOOM Eternal’s first single player DLC, The Ancient Gods, Part One.

It’s just a relatively short teaser overall, but it shows DOOM Guy heading to brand new realms to restore balance in the Heavens. To do so, he’ll need to continue his customer demon annihilating ways, all while travelling across never-before-seen realms and viscerally killing new demons. The teaser trailer gives us a glimpse at some of the action we can expect to in DOOM ETERNAL – The Ancient Gods, Part One, while stopping short of really showing too much. With that said, there seems to be plenty of that signature DOOM demonic destruction charm to the DLC.

DOOM Eternal – The Ancient Gods, Part One will receive a full reveal at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 28th, which will also surely include a release date and platforms for the DLC, although we expect it to come to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
