DOOM Eternal Rips And Tears On Switch On December 8

December 2, 2020

DOOM Eternal Switch Murader

Bethesda has easily been one of the best supporters of the Nintendo Switch, bringing a bunch of their bigger games to the platform. We’ve had DOOM 2016 and Wolfenstein II to name a couple, but no announcement was quite as big as the reveal of DOOM Eternal for Switch. It was confirmed early on, well before the game released, and seemed to be subverting the ‘late port’ cycle the Switch had entered. Now, after months of delays, DOOM Eternal is finally ripping and tearing its way onto Switch on December 8th.

Now a digital only release, you won’t find this version of DOOM Eternal on any store shelves. Instead, you’ll need to jump onto the eShop if you’re looking to buy it. What you’ll find is the complete DOOM Eternal campaign experience, now in a handy portable format, albeit with some caveats. There will of course be some visual downgrades as part of the conversion, but as Panic Button showed with DOOM, this won’t stop it from being a great game. On the flipside, the game will now support gyro controlled aiming for those that love it.
