EA Launches Battlefield V Operation Enigma

October 16, 2018

Do you like gaming Easter eggs? Do you like cracking cryptic codes? Do you like Battlefield? EA has launched Battlefield V Operation Enigma ahead of the game’s launch next month, giving gamers a fun puzzle-solving web-based game to play as you unlock hidden messages in a race to solve each mission.

Head to the official Battlefield V Operation Enigma website to combine modern technology with WWII spy mechanics and start solving the five missions. Deciphering the cryptic code words will give you the chance to enter a competition to win a GeForce RTX 2080 Tis graphics card valued at $1,199 USD. Battlefield V Operation Enigma is global, but the competitions are local and there’s a competition for just residents of Australia and New Zealand so there’s no reason not to give it a crack.

Each mission requires a code-word (or number) and the hints are pretty scarce to say the least. It will encourage your creativity, but at the end of the day you can find the answers on YouTube, Reddit or even the EA forums if you want to cheat.

Rocket Chainsaw went hands-on with the Battlefield V beta last month, saying, “the visuals are shaping up spectacularly and the sound of guns, tanks and artillery immerse players in the spectacular of war“. We’ll have more on Battlefield V later this week, with details on the singleplayer war stories as well as an interview with a director from DICE.

Battlefield V launches on 20 November, 2018 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC platforms.
