Nintendo just announced a couple of days ago that they’re releasing a new version of the Nintendo 3DS, which will be released later this year. Well, Nintendo’s Australian branch has chimed in, and they’ve got the juicy launch details for us. The 3DS XL will be available in Australia on the 23rd of August, for $249.95 RRP. That sets it at the same price point as the current model, leading many to believe that we’ll be seeing a price drop on the standard model soon. The 3DS XL will be available in three colour variations, Silver + Black, Red + Black, and Blue + Black. The first colour is the one on the outside of the console, while the second one is on the inside. Black is certainly on the menu.
