When Yakuza: Like a Dragon was revealed to be coming to Xbox Series X back during the May episode of Inside Xbox, speculation was rife on what it meant for a PS5 version. SEGA was cagey and the official news channels for the series weren’t saying much of anything. Speculation mounted that the game was a timed next gen exclusive for the Xbox Series. This has now been confirmed, with the official twitter account for the series announcing that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will come to PS5 on March 2nd next year.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon marks a reboot for the series, with a new protagonist coming alongside the series’ first next gen release. Alongside the shift in protagonist comes a shift in gameplay, with the series moving from its action stylings of the past to instead become a turn based RPG filled with a job system, plenty of characters and some crazy summons. With the announcement that the game is coming to PS5, we also got a brand new trailer running on the system which can be viewed here.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon releases for Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and Xbox One on November 10th and PS5 on March 2nd.
