Nolan North will Record You a Voicemail with Gaming4Life

April 27, 2017

This weekend will see the launch of Gaming4Life, a 30 hour charity Twitch stream created through a collaboration between Twitch and Sony Foundation. The stream runs live from 9AM AEST on Saturday 29 April at http://www.twitch.tv/6t4bites, acting as a fundraiser for youth cancer program You Can. There’s celebrities, prizes, but today it has also been announced that Nolan North will be joining the proceedings with a very special reward.

Five viewers will be given the opportunity to have the prolific and famous Uncharted voice actor to record a custom voicemail message for them. The prizes will be released via the fundraising page in return for donations during the streaming event, at https://tiltify.com/causes/sony-foundation-australia/gaming4life-2017.

In addition to this, there is over $40,000 worth of gaming hardware and accessories available in return for donations to You Can, including:

  • PlayStation 4® 20th Anniversary console
  • Sony 65″ 4K HDR Android TV
  • Sony Xperia XZ Smartphone
  • PlayStation®VR
  • PlayStation®4 500GB
  • PlayStation®4 Pro 1TB
  • DualShock®4 controller
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
  • The Last Guardian
  • For Honor
  • Rainbow 6 Siege
  • Merchandise including exclusive t-shirt designs by Guerilla Games and Media Molecule

The stream is hosted by well known streamers including Loserfruit, Bajo, Deligracy and JamesTurnerYT, with a special guest appearance by Sony Music artist, Cyrus.

The money is all going to a great cause too, as Sony Foundation’s General Manager, Emma Pechey, explains.

“Once you turn 16, the chances of surviving certain cancers are halved in Australia. Sony Foundation’s You Can campaign is committed to changing this, but we need the community’s help. Twitch streamers are a socially conscious community and with You Can being a youth related cause we hope that Gaming4Life will connect and engage the gaming community with our cause by providing entertainment like never before, thanks to the support of our family of Sony companies.”

Tune in from 9 AM on Saturday 29 April at http://www.twitch.tv/6t4bites to check out Gaming4Life.
