AusSpeedruns’ flagship event, the Australian Speedrun Marathon, will kick off tomorrow and run from Wednesday 12 July to Sunday 16 July.l, both as an in-person and digital event, available on Twitch.

The full schedule is available on the website, but games run the gamut from old to new, including Pokémon Fire Red to Hi-Fi Rush. There’s also quite a few indie titles in there, like Aussie classics Cult of the Lamb and Untitled Goose Game, as well as Superliminal.

The Marathon is happening in South Australia,  at the Adelaide Rockford (164 Hindley St, Adelaide), but also available live on the AusSpeedruns Twitch channel. Donations to the fundraiser can be made on the ASM2023 Tiltify fundraising page. Elgato is the major partner of this year’s event.

Funds raised go towards the Game On Cancer charity, an initiative of Cure Cancer, which is an Australia-based charity dedicated entirely to funding early career cancer researchers and to date has provided over 550 research grants to young scientists with ground-breaking innovative ideas, many of who have gone on to become leaders in cancer research globally.
