Nintendo Switch User Interface Leaked

February 17, 2017

One question a lot of Nintendo fans have been asking is what does the Nintendo Switch user interface look like? Today VidMe user hiphoptherobot uploaded a video of him turning the Nintendo Switch on for the the first time, and scrolling through the menus. The user claims he is using an early retail copy of the Nintendo Switch, which is not due to be released until March 3rd, 2017.

Check out the video below:

With lots of familiar cute Nintendo sounds and what looks like a very straight-forward menu, the Nintendo Switch user interface appears to be more like the PlayStation menu system than its predecessors, the Wii U and 3DS. Unfortunately the video did not delve in to the eShop or show us how quickly it loads a game, but with just two weeks to go, all questions regarding the Nintendo Switch user interface will be answered very soon.

When we went hands-on with a Nintendo Switch, we found that it “nails the concept of a home console that can be taken on the go, with a solid build and multiple control styles to boot. The screen looks incredible and the controls are mostly great, although the right Joy-Con is frustrating.” The Nintendo Switch User Interface was unfortunately not accessible in our testing.

Here’s hoping there will be several themes available to purchase at launch for the Nintendo Switch user interface, including a Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild theme.
