Our friends over at Polygon had the good fortune to be able to play and record a good 12 minutes of Sonic Mania, the upcoming Sonic title that is a love letter to the Sonic of old.

The video covers Green Hill Zone Act 1 and Studiopolis Act 1 in a relatively relaxed pace that shows off some of the branching paths you can expect to find.

Sonic Mania is due for release on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One in early 2017.
