Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Stand-Alone Finally Gets Release

Activision today uploaded a trailer revealing the existence of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered stand-alone edition. Fans have been begging for the game to get its own separate edition since it released as part of a special “Legacy” edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare which launched in November 2016.

Rocket Chainsaw covered a possible leak/rumour of a stand-alone edition in September last year, which you can read here.

The new Modern Warfare Remastered stand-alone edition will launch as a timed exclusive for PlayStation 4 on June 27, 2017, presumably with a Windows PC and Xbox One version in the works for later this year.

You can watch the official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered stand-alone trailer below:

Currently listed at $40USD, the game is not yet appearing on Australian retail websites, and will not include the Variety Map Pack which is listed for an extra $15USD.

The new online multiplayer features supply drops which can be earnt in-game or purchased with real money, as well as a crafting system like the one in Infinite Warfare.

The new Modern Warfare Remastered stand-alone edition will feature the original campaign in its entirety, and 16 multiplayer maps. It will be available in both physical and digital formats on June 27, 2017.
