Call of Duty Modern Warfare Battle Pass Revealed

October 18, 2019

With just one week until the official launch, today we can reveal details about the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Battle Pass that will support players post-launch with a constant stream of new items that you will unlock as you play. Battle passes appear to be the new way for games to get money from customers instead of controversial loot boxes. Players that purchase the Modern Warfare Battle Pass will get extra cosmetic items as they play, whereas if you don’t pay extra, the base-line Battle Pass will still unlock weapons and modifications that all players can enjoy.

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare launch trailer went live last week, and Rocket Chainsaw has been following the Modern Warfare news closely, going hands-on with the PS4 exclusive closed alpha 2v2 Gunfight mode. You can also check out the official story trailer featuring Captain Price at the helm.

Activision confirmed in a blog post earlier today that the in-game economy will not include loot boxes, and all functional content that has an impact on performance can be unlocked without having to spend any extra money, meaning Modern Warfare will have no pay-to-win features.

The Modern Warfare Battle Pass will not be available as soon as the game launches next week, but with just two months left in 2019 Activision did confirm that we will see it implemented before the year is through.

The new Call of Duty Modern Warfare launches on October 25, 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC platforms. For more information, head to the official Call of Duty website.
