Total War: Three Kingdoms moves the franchise to one of the most epic sagas of all warfare – the Romance of the Three Kingdoms era of China. With larger-than-life characters and wealth of material to draw from about them, Creative Assembly have added some interesting new mechanics dealing with these heroes, and the interplay between them. At Gamescom, we were able to speak with Writer Peter Stewart and Senior Games Designer Dominique Starr about Three Kingdoms, about what’s changed, where their inspiration is coming from, and where, unofficially, they’d dream of taking the series next.
