E3 2019: Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remaster and Switch Port Leaks

June 8, 2019

Another day, another million leaks ahead of E3 2019. It seems that Bandai Namco have a big issue right now, as another game published by them – and seemingly set for an announcement at E3 – has leaked. This time, we’re looking at a current gen remaster of 2013’s Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, which has been reported by Direct-Feed Games on Twitter.

The Studio Ghibli designed and Level-5 developed RPG gained a cult following when it released in the West in 2013, with a sequel (which I quite enjoyed) released in early 2018. The remastered version looks set to be a relatively simple remaster, with it currently looking like only covering a resolution upscale and ‘improved performance’, but we’ll likely find out soon how far this goes. The remaster will purportedly release on PC and PlayStation 4.

Along with the Remaster, rumours also indicate that the Nintendo Switch will receive a port of the original version of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, without the additional upscaling. The screenshots below are reportedly from this unannounced Switch version.

We expect to find out more information early next week, so stay tuned to Rocket Chainsaw for more E3 coverage.
