Bandai Namco and Level-5 have released via the PlayStation Experience event a new trailer for Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, and a launch timeframe of 2017. The new Ni no Kuni 2 trailer shows some story, a tiny bit of over-world gameplay, and finishes with some combat gameplay. Darkness looms over the land, and the light may yet return on the kingdom in the second edition of what has already become a staple JRPG franchise. Check out the trailer below:

The critically acclaimed original Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch launched exclusively on PlayStation 3 just over five years ago, and also had a more simplified version released on Nintendo DS. Currently based on the new Ni no Kuni 2 trailer, Revenant Kingdom looks to be a PS4 exclusive, but could end up launching on other platforms, such as Nintendo Switch.
