If the announcement of Metroid Prime 4 wasn’t enough to excite Metroid fans, Nintendo have also announced Metroid: Samus Returns will be heading to the 3DS.

The game is a remake of Metroid II: Return of Samus which was released on the GameBoy in 1991. There are apparently more Chozo artefacts to collect this time, and enemies have been redesigned to bring them in line with modern standards.

Metroid: Samus Returns will be released on September 15, 2017.
