Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time Officially Revealed

June 23, 2020

It’s been a whirlwind few days for Crash Bandicoot fans. In the space of less than a week we’ve moved from leaks showing a new game was coming, to the confirmation that the game would be revealed, to the reveal itself. After years and years of waiting for a new game, it’s finally time for a taste of some brand new Crash Action, with the reveal of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time overnight. You won’t have to wait long for the release either, with the game confirmed to release later this year.

Developed by Toys for Bob who previously worked on games like Skylanders and Spyro Reignited Trilogy, It’s About Time looks to be a return to the mainline series of Crash games. Positioned as a follow on to Crash Bandicoot Warped by the number 4 in its title, it looks like Activision and Toys for Bob want to distance the game from the less-than-fantastic sequels released during the PlayStation 2/Xbox era. The game certainly looks to be a faithful sequel as well, with all of the platforming and action we’ve come to expect from the Crash Bandicoot series since we started playing them on the PlayStation One.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 2, with the game also confirmed to be playabale on Xbox Series X when that console launches. Check out the official site for more details.
