Assassin’s Creed Origins Dev Q&A #1

August 18, 2017

Today Ubisoft has uploaded the first Assassin’s Creed Origins Dev Q&A in a series of videos to the Assassin’s Creed UK Youtube channel. Assassin’s Creed Origins game director Ashraf Ismail takes us on a Q&A explaining combat and role-playing elements in the upcoming AAA game.

In it, he explains how each weapon will be unique and require its own learning curve to master, and that you can hit multiple enemies in one swing so combat will be more about speed and accuracy than lock and loading like previous Assassin’s Creed games.

You can check out the five minute official Assassin’s Creed Origins Dev Q&A below:

Assassin’s Creed Origins is set in Egypt and will have the largest map of any Assassin’s Creed game. Rocket Chainsaw learned at E3 2017 that the map will be about the same size as the sea in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, only this map will be mostly land.

Origins comes after the franchise took a hiatus in 2016 to make way for Michael Fassbender’s Assassin’s Creed movie which was set in the time of The Spanish Inquisition.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is launching October 27, 2017 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
