After the recent trailer announcement of the upcoming expansion for Destiny 2 (see below), Bungie has today confirmed that the Curse of Osiris light level and level caps will be raised, and players can also expect new strikes as well as a raid added at a later date.

The Curse of Osiris light level cap will now be set at 330, 25 more than the base game, while your character’s level cap will raise to 25, which is 5 more than the base game which launched just last week on Windows PC, and September 6 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Check out the announcement trailer for the Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris expansion:

Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris continues your Guardian’s journey with all-new story missions and adventures set in a new destination, Mercury. Journey through time and space to learn the secrets of Osiris: a guardian gone rogue. Avert a dark future, and rebuild the ties between the legendary Warlock and his greatest student – Ikora Rey.

Curse of Osiris launches on December 5 across all three platforms, bringing the PC version in line with its console counterparts. Rocket Chainsaw reviewed Destiny 2 on PlayStation 4, giving it 4 stars and saying it’s “Better in almost every way“.

You can purchase Curse of Osiris individually, however if you think your journey in Destiny 2 is likely to continue then it may be more worthwhile checking out the Season Pass which will include future expansions. For full details head to the official Destiny 2 store.
