After a year of minimal information from official sources, a record number of leaks and rumours from unofficial sources, and a multitude of waiting and hype from fans, Nintendo have finally revealed the release date and launch price for the Nintendo Switch.

During today’s Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 Nintendo officially revealed that the hybrid portable/console, which can docked to play on a tv or taken with you, will release on March 3 2017 at a price of $299.99 USD. It has not yet been confirmed if Australia will conform to these dates, but we will update the article as soon as we have that information.

UPDATE: It has now been confirmed that the Nintendo Switch will cost $469.95 in Australia.
