  • NEWS: Famitsu magazine in Japan has reported that Dragon Quest VII, released for the original PlayStation back in 2000, will be remade for the Nintendo 3DS. The remake will launch in Japan on 7 February next year.
  • MAJOR NEWS: Disney has announced today (reported by Deadline) that they’ve made a full acquisition of LucasArts and all subsidiaries for a total of US$4.05 billion. The company has announced interest in pursuing three new Star Wars movies, and will gain control of all Star Wars related games, including the upcoming Star Wars: 1313.

  • NEWS: Sleeping Dogs horror themed DLC Nightmare at North Point, poking fun at Chinese horror films, is available for download for about ~$5. We’ll have a review on Rocket Chainsaw soon.
  • NEWS: Deep Silver has today dated upcoming Dead Island spin-off Dead Island: Riptide for 26 April 2013 for Australia. The game will offer a new story and explorable world set within the Dead Island universe, while retaining the same sandbox/RPG hybrid gameplay. All Games Beta have the press release and images of the box art.

  • NEWS: Shock, surprise, there’s going to be a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The report comes from thisisXBOX, where a quote from voice actor Bill Murray, best known for Captain Price, stated he was meeting with Infinity Ward to discuss the fourth entry in the long running series.
