Microsoft has announced a very enticing bonus for everyone who purchases the upcoming Gears of War Ultimate Edition on Xbox One. Buyers shall be rewarded with a free copy of every single Xbox 360 Gears of War game – that’s the Gears of War trilogy and Gears of War Judgment ­- via the Xbox One’s upcoming Backwards Compatibility mode. Each of the Gears Xbox 360 titles shall be able to utilise the Xbox One’s DVR, Snap and screenshot features and more. Microsoft has also revealed fans shall be able to access previous Gears save files, game add-ons, achievements and be able to play with fiends via Xbox LIVE on both Xbox ONE and Xbox 360.

To be eligible for the bonus, you must play Gears of War Ultimate Edition online before December 31 2015. All Xbox 360 Gears of War titles shall be supported on Backward Compatibility when it launches publicly later this year.

Microsoft’s The Coalition are remaking the original Gears of War from the ground up in the aptly titled Ultimate Edition Xbox One exclusive. Gears of War Ultimate Edition is scheduled for release on August 25 and shall include access to the Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta.
