If you follow the mobile gaming scene, the indie gaming scene, or both, chances are you’ll have heard of Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, a game exclusive to iOS devices. Not for much longer though, as the developers behind the title have announced that the game will be coming for PC and Mac.
As mentioned on the official website, creators Capy, Jim Guthrie and Superbrothers hope that this new version of the game “will connect with a broad audience, people who have access to a computer and who have a fondness for musically-inclined computer-enabled stories of myth & mystery”.
While there is no word if there will be any additions to the game, the developers have indicated that the new versions will be adapted to suit two-button mouse input, and some audiovisual elements will be refined.
The website also offered a vague tidbit of information regarding the release date of the game. The PC version will be available “before the next dark moon” and the Mac version “before the summer solstice”. What does that mean? Your guess is as good as mine.
