The STORY OF SEASONS history is a complicated one. You might know the series by its original name: Harvest Moon. After splitting from the Western distributor/publisher who owned the name Harvest Moon in the West, the original creators of the series needed to change the name of the games to continue releasing them in the West. Hence, the STORY OF SEASONS series was born. The latest title in the series is STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town, a remake of the original Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town for GBA that was previously only confirmed for Nintendo Switch, but which is also now coming to PC.

STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town is an expanded remake of a GBA game that originally released way back in 2003, and also marks only the second time the series has come to PC. With a brand new 3D art-style that still stays true to the original game, the game looks to be a relatively simple modernisation of one of the most beloved entries into the Harvest Moon series. Beyond the visuals, the remake doesn’t seem to alter much in the way of content, sticking to the already well received farming gameplay of the original.

STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town releases on PC on July 15th, 5 days after the Nintendo Switch release on Jul 10th, with further details available on the game’s Steam page.
