Project XCloud Preview Starts In Australia Next Week

Announced a while back now, Project xCloud is Xbox’s answer to platforms like Stadia, Luna and Geforce Now. Using customer Xbox One S hardware  in Azure datacenters, players are able to jump online for some cloud gaming without the need for their own Xbox One hardware. While the xCloud preview has been available in certain locations around the world, we’d been waiting for confirmation on when Australians could jump in on the Android based preview program. Now, we’ve finally received confirmation that the xCloud preview is coming to Australia on November 18.

If you’ve got an android phone or tablet and you’re looking to get in on the action, jump over here to register now. If you receive confirmation (spots are limited, although Xbox says they’re trying to bring in as many people as possible) then you just need to download the Xbox Game Streaming (Preview) app and you’re ready to go.

The xCloud  preview phase will have the following games you can play:

  • ARK: Survival Evolved
  • Batman™: Arkham Knight
  • Black Desert
  • Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon
  • CODE VEIN
