PGA TOUR 2K21 Coming To Platforms Everywhere

May 14, 2020

That’s right, PGA TOUR is back again. After a massive hiatus since 2015’s Rory McIlroy PGA Tour from EA, we’ve been bereft of our licensed golf simulations; Instead, HB Studios has filled the void with their The Golf Club series of games. While The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA TOUR contained some licensed courses when it released last year, it didn’t quite fill the same hole that the PGA Tour series once did. That’s set to change, however, as HB Studios and 2K are partnering together on a return of the series titled PGA TOUR 2K21.

The game will feature 15 licensed courses, all of which feature the extensive recreations of the fairways, green, bunkers and more thanks to cutting-edge scanning technology. You’ll also have the ability to make use of a The Golf Club series staple feature and create your own courses in the Course Designer mode. Don’t worry about your skill level, as rookie players will be welcomed in with real-time tutorials, tips and shot suggestions, while veterans will have access to Pro Vision, Distance Control, Putt Preview and other new features.

Alongside the officially licensed courses, the game will include twelve pros that will present a challenge to players throughout their time with the game, including former World #1 Justin Thomas, who had the following to say about his inclusion in the game:

“Being chosen to be the first-ever cover athlete for the premiere PGA TOUR 2K game is a tremendous honor. I’m excited to join the 2K family and challenge players everywhere on the digital links.”

Players who preorder the game will received a special 2K/Adidas CODECHAOS MyPLAYER Pack featuring the following items:

  • CODECHAOS BOA golf shoes
  • Custom 2K/adidas sport performance polo
  • Custom 2K/adidas Ultimate365 pants
  • Custom 2K/adidas tour hat

PGA TOUR 2K21 releases on August 21st 2020 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In the meantime, check out the announcement trailer below or the official website here.
