No More Heroes 3 Arrives On August 27

February 18, 2021

The announcement of No More Heroes 3 in 2019 came as a massive surprise, with the franchise viewed as dead and buried by many people. Still, there was always hope that the cult favourite Suda51 franchise would appear once again. Now, during today’s Nintendo Direct, it has been confirmed that the game will release on August 27.

No More Heroes 3 sees the return of Travis Touchdown as he moves away from fighting the assassins of the past and instead moves into fighting off a full-blown alien invasion. There will be plenty of the massive boss battles we all know and love, with different styles and mechanics shown during the trailer such as turn-based RPG, but you won’t be able to jump straight into them. Instead, you will need to complete odd jobs around town, completing mini-games and earning money to get enough cash to pay the entry fee for a boss battle.

The trailer shown also gave us a glimpse of a first person segment of the game, along with plenty of the mini-games you will need to complete to gain your clash. General gameplay looks immediately familiar, with a third person camera style that should not surprise anyone.

No More Heroes 3 releases exclusively for Nintendo Switch on August 27th. In the meantime, check out the trailer below or the official website.
