Nintendo Switch Firmware 10.0.0 Released

April 14, 2020

Normally, firmware updates aren’t something that get me excited (there’s only so many times I can read the term ‘Stability Improvements’ before I fall asleep), but the latest Nintendo Switch firmware update includes a feature I have wanted since the console launched; transferring games between the system’s internal memory and an SD card.

On top of this fantastic data transferring feature, the update also includes the ability to remap controls at a system level (which is another fantastic quality of life feature and fantastic for accessibility), new user icons, the ability to bookmark news items and more. This is definitely one of the meatiest firmware updates we’ve seen for the console in a while.
