The end-of-year line-up for the Nintendo 3DS was looking pretty good, but has sadly lost two major titles. According to press releases sent from both Nintendo of America and Konami, both Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate have been delayed into 2013.
Mirror of Fate is a a prequel to the upcoming Lords of Shadow 2, sequel to 2010’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Lords of Shadow 2 is currently without any release date, though is suspected to launch sometime in 2013. Konami has yet to state when in 2013 Mirror of Fate will be released, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see the launch coincide with Lords of Shadow 2.
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is a bit different. A local release has yet to be delayed (or confirmed, for that matter), but Nintendo of America has announced that the game has slipped into an early 2013 release. Likely delayed to ensure quality, we expect Dark Moon to launch in 2013 for all territories.
We’ll report on local dates as soon as they’re available.
