In what looks like a cross between Forza Horizon, Mario Kart and Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (in a good way), 2K and LEGO have announced LEGO 2K Drive, a new open world racing game that’s not far away at all – hitting platforms worldwide on May 19, 2023. Interestingly, the game is the first title in a multi-title partnership between the two companies.

The game’s concept is best explained in the reveal trailer, embedded below, as it appears to offer an open world full of ramps, weird roads and plenty of LEGO to break apart and to build with. The game features a story mode, where your racer vies to win the Sky Cup Trophy, as well as co-op and competitive multiplayer, with 2-player splitscreen available. Of course, being a LEGO game, players can also design their own vehicles, with over 1,000 LEGO pieces available through the course of adventure for players to use to build with.
