Gamescom 2019: RTX Ray Tracing Trailer Round-Up

Nvidia has today unleashed an array of Gamescom 2019 RTX ‘Ray Tracing On’ trailers for upcoming games such as Watch Dogs Legion, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, and more.

Nvidia’s RTX graphics cards take advantage of a new ray tracing technology to create ultra-real reflections and rays in your games. In the year since Nvidia made real-time ray tracing in games a reality, the tech has been embraced by developers in basically every big game coming out in 2019 and 2020.

At Gamescom 2019, Nvidia is demonstrating nine new ray tracing integrations, in MinecraftCall of Duty: Modern Warfare, and other big-name blockbusters. Check out all the Gamescom 2019 RTX trailers below:

Introducing Minecraft now with Ray Tracing! Mojang and NVIDIA are bringing jaw-dropping DXR ray tracing to the world’s most popular game enabling lifelike lighting, reflections, shadows, and much more.

With raytracing, lighting is upgraded to real-time global illumination, emissive blocks like Glowstone and Lava can illuminate environments, water, glass and other reflective surfaces show accurate real-time reflections and shading and shadowing gains lifelike accuracy. With more than 60 awards and nominations from E3 2019, the 3rd installment of the Watch Dogs franchise wowed everyone thanks to its new, innovative ‘play as anyone’ gameplay that lets you recruit literally anyone from the game world, and its ray tracing technology featuring lifelike ray-traced reflections that enhance shops, skyscrapers, puddles, cars, and so much more.

Real-time ray tracing is coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on PC.

Check out the first ever ray-traced Modern Warfare gameplay, showcasing how ray-traced shadows improve the game’s already realistic graphics. We’re partnering with Activision and Infinity Ward to deliver the most immersive and photo-realistic Modern Warfare experience on PC with the addition of real-time ray tracing and NVIDIA Adaptive Shading.

Real-time ray tracing is coming to Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.

Watch the first ever ray-traced Bloodlines 2 gameplay, showcasing how ray-traced reflections add more immersion and realism to this highly anticipated game.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is the successor to the cult-classic Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines and features reactive storytelling, fast-paced combat, and compelling characters with their own hidden motives. Created in an act of vampiric insurrection, players start the game as a fledgling Thinblood whose existence ignites a war among the vampire factions in Seattle. To survive in vampire society, players will enter into uneasy alliances with Seattle’s factions and join one of the full-blood vampire clans while stalking the city streets for prey, maneuvering complex political relationships, and balancing the need for blood against their withering humanity.

See the world premiere of SYNCED: Off-Planet with ray tracing from Gamescom 2019.

Set in a future where humanity’s mechanical and technological evolution went violently wrong, players compete against other survivors of the apocalypse to secure resources for their day-to-day survival, and for a chance to escape planet Earth.

For the PC release of SYNCED: Off-Planet, we’ve partnered with Tencent Next Studios to bring realistic, immersive real-time ray-traced shadows and reflections to the game’s world.
