NVIDIA Announces GeForce Gaming Celebration Ahead of Gamescom

It’s been a while since NVIDIA’s 10-series GeForce GPUs first released in May of 2014, with the now two-year generation of cards long outliving what anyone expected. Speculation has been rife on when we would finally get an announcement and reveal of the next-generation of cards – expected to be called the 11-series – and we may finally hear something soon with NVIDIA announcing a GeForce Gaming Celebration to be held the day before Gamescom begins.

NVIDIA promises the event will be big, with new, exclusive hands-on demos of upcoming games, stage presentations from some of the “world’s biggest games developers” and some big surprises to boot. With Gamescom the next day, we could see some announcements and cool bits of information come from the event.

If you happen to be in Cologne for Gamescom, which runs from August 21 to 25, you should definitely look at getting in on this event. It will be held from 6PM CET on August 20 and you can apply for free tickets via NVIDIA’s Eventbrite page here.
