Datura coming to PlayStation Network

March 7, 2012

What’s that? You bought a PlayStation Move but wish you had more games to actually use it with? Then the news of Datura, a Move game set to be released for PlayStation Network, should excite you.

Datura is being made by Polish developer Plastic Studios, who was also responsible for the weird interactive art title Linger in Shadows. A post on the PlayStation blog by the game director, Michal Staniszewski, detailed what gamers can expect from the title. Players will need to navigate their way through a mysterious forest, experiencing the world through visuals and the “illusion that you really touch trees, faces and other objects”. Datura also looks like it is aiming to present complex choices and consequences to players through its narrative and puzzles, and thus creating an “element of anxiety”.

Sounds fascinating to me, and I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for any information before the game is released sometime this year. For now though, have a gander at this teaser trailer that surfaced last year to get a feel for what to expect.
