Daily Gaming News – 10/4/2013

April 10, 2013

And so once again, we reach a Wednesday. Eventually, we will reach the weekend. For now, here’s a dose of daily gaming news.
  • NEWS: The firmware on the PlayStation Vita has just received an update to 2.10, as per a post on the PlayStation blog. The major feature is being able to organise icons into folders and save your configuration to the memory stick. Also notable is that PlayStation Plus members will now be able to automatically update software formatted for PlayStation Mobile and upload their game save data to the cloud using 3G.
  • NEWS: Capcom has bumped the release date of Lost Planet 3 to August the 30th in PAL regions. Worth the wait? We hope so.
  • NEWS: In other news about Capcom, senior VP Christian Svensson has written in a forum post that we shouldn’t expect to see every fighting game published previously by the company getting a HD remake. “Sadly, I think we’ve probably run the course of feasible titles here given the droppoff we’ve seen in sales with each new introduction,” he wrote.
  • NEWS: Play Anarchy Reigns? You may be pleased to know that Bayonetta, previously only available as a pre-order bonus, is now available for purchase for the PlayStation 3 version of the game.
  • NEWS: To celebrate the 3rd anniversary of their website, shmup developer Cave are having a sale on the mobile versions of their games. The sale ends this Sunday, so if you want some bullet hell action at very reasonable prices, now is the best time to pick something up.
