Farming Simulator 2017 Will Have Mods on PS4

September 13, 2016

The official twitter account for Farming Simulator has announced that the latest release in the series, Farming Simulator 17, will support mods on both Playstation 4 and Xbox One. This comes only days after Bethesda announced that Sony had rejected their submission to bring Fallout 4 mods to Playstation 4.

The main differentiator here may be the different content of the mods. While we don’t necessarily know exactly what mods are coming to Farming Simulator 17, we know that mods in Fallout 4 can be quite large and sometimes cause a number of performance issues. There’s the potential that Sony didn’t want to allow mods that could hamper the user experience in Fallout 4 or crash consoles, while the mods in Farming Simulator 17 might be significantly less involved.

Farming Simulator 17 releases on October 25th for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
