Australia & New Zealand – Wii U Launch Plans & Pricing Announced

You’ve heard about the US. You’ve heard about Japan. You’ve heard about Europe.

And now it’s time for Australia and New Zealand.

Announced via press release, residents of Australia and New Zealand can look forward to the Wii U launching on 30th November 2012. As per announcements for other regions, the launch comes in two flavours: Basic and Premium.

Basic offers a white unit, 8GB of internal storage, and the various console goodies for an RRP of AU$349.95. On the other end of the spectrum, we have the the Premium black system, where gamers will find 32GB of storage, various charging docks, bundled Nintendo Land software, and access to the Nintendo Network Premium, which rewards digital purchases with ~10% valued credit. The price? SRP AU$429.95.

As for launch software, the Wii U will launch alongside Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Mass Effect 3, Zombi U, Rayman Legends, and FIFA 13. And yes, we’ll be getting Bayonetta 2 and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate in the hopefully not too distant future.
