Release Date Announced For Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite

April 27, 2017

Following on from its earlier announcement, Capcom and Marvel have confirmed that you will be able to fight once again when Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite releases for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 19th.

Your new ultimate threat is none other than Ultron Sigma, a merging of Ultron from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sigma from the Capcom Universe, who is hell-bent on infecting all life in the universe with a new cybernetic virus. You’ll have a range of fighters at your disposal to combat this new threat, with a handful of them being confirmed so far and likely many, many more to be announced before the game releases. There’s still no sign of any X-Men characters, with it being extremely likely that none will feature in the game as Marvel seeks to have the game focus on characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but hopefully this means we may see Spider-Man back again.

The new characters confirmed to be coming to the game are Ultron, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Rocket Racoon, Chun-Li, Strider Hiryu and Chris Redfield, joining the already announced Iron Man, Captain marvel, Captain America, Ryu, Mega Man X and Morrigan. Along with this, it was announced that there will be six characters released as DLC, although they have yet to be revealed.
