Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu/Eevee officially announced

May 30, 2018

The Pokemon Company has officially announced Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on November 16, 2018.

The games are a re-imagined version of the original Pokemon games, but take inspiration from the mobile game Pokemon Go. Instead of encountering Pokemon in tall grass, players will engage in a wild Pokemon battles by approaching 3D models of the little pocket monsters. Prepare for trouble as you will be battling other trainers, including Team Rocket Grunts.

The games can be played using just one joycon controller, and two player co-op play is supported. There will also be a PokeBall Plus accessory which lets you control the game and take Eevee or Pikachu (depending on which version you have) with you on walks. Tapping the accessory will cause the Pokemon to talk back to you.

The games will also link with Pokemon Go, allowing players to transfer Pokemon across titles and collect gifts.
